We are pleased to tell everyone that we are now booking dates for 2011 for Freddie Starr. He is recovering very well from his quadruple bypass and there will be a 2011 tour announced within the next few weeks. We also have autumn dates for 2010 that we will announce once we have them confirmed with the venues which should be very very soon….watch this space.

Freddie Starr 9/6/10

The good news is Freddie has been released from Hospital and is well on the road to recovery. I spoke with him this morning and he had just been out for his morning walk to build up his strength. Freddie is so looking forward to getting back out there touring that he wanted to discuss the production plans for his tour next year, which is great, as this means he is truly getting there.

Keep checking back to the tour section of the site, as we will be starting to put his tour together for 2011 in the next short while.

We spoke with Freddie Starr today and the good news is that as of today Freddie has been released from Intensive care and is in good spirits. Freddie asked me to relay a Thank You to everyone who has sent good wishes and card, flowers, chocolates to the hospital.

Freddie is looking forward to getting home to start the healing process and he has been told it will be around 3 months before he can consider working again. We wish Freddie a speedy recovery and look forward to him being back on the road entertaining again in 2011.

Joe Longthorne

Joe’s 2010 UK tour is well underway, and boy Joe is setting these theatres alight. Joe is looking great, sounding fabulous and doing a great show. Joe performed in Glasgow on Friday evening to a capacity house at the Pavilion Theatre, and as usual, they were on their feet for about 5 minutes and Joe had to come back and take a bow and do an encore.

Great to see Joe back at his very best. All these theatres that Joe has still to play, you are in for a great night and without doubt Joe Longthorne is one of Britans top performers.

Freddie Starr

On Tuesday 6th April Freddie Starr suffered a major Heart Attack. Thankfully Freddie is sitting up in bed and as usual telling jokes and seeing the funny side of things. On Monday April 19th Freddie will undergo a triple heart bypass operation that will last about 5/6 hours to which after he will need to rest for about 6/7 months to get back to full strength.

All of Freddie’s 2010 dates have been cancelled which has upset Freddie greatly as he loves performing as was looking forward to a great year of touring. We will program a tour in 2011 for Freddie once we know he is fit and well later in 2010.

All of us at Artistes Direct wish Freddie a speedy recovery and I am sure all his fans all over the world wish him well too.

Joe Longthorne’s show at the Regent Theatre – Ipswich on Sunday 6th December will be rescehuled into early 2010. As due to a throat infection Joe will be unable to perform. All tickets will be valid for the new date, keep checking back to the website or check with the venue for the rescheduled date which will be announced on Monday 7th December.
